NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A man who led police on a high speed chase in Lincoln County was supposed to appear in court today.

A Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy tried to stop 27-year-old William Butrick on the morning of May 22nd.

Butrick fled and ended up losing control of his car after a high speed chase and hit a light pole at 9th and Jeffers Street.

Police presented Butrick with a citation but he was unable to sign it as he was hospitalized.

The Lincoln County Attorney’s Office will be submitting and affidavit for an arrest warrant.
