Banner Health Community Hospital expanding
TORRINGTON, Wyo. (KNEP) - Banner Health Community Hospital is reportedly expanding with two state-of-the-art operating rooms, a new sterile processing department, cardiac rehabilitation center, mammography, ultrasound and phlebotomy area.
The allegedly $13 million expansion includes the addition of 11,000 square feet to the facility footprint. Additionally, Banner Health is reportedly investing $5 million to upgrade mechanical and electrical systems throughout the facility.
The addition is slated to open to the public in October 2020. The project has been in various stages of planning and or construction for approximately six years and is intended to better serve both patients and staff.
“This creates a more efficient working space for staff and an option to expand surgical care in the future. The design effort involved staff, community members, architectural and construction firms,” said Zachary Miller, Banner Health Community Hospital CEO.
The next phase of the project is a $6.8 million renovation and is expected to kick off in 2021. It will reportedly include renovations to 13,000 square-feet of the facility, including a new Peri-Op space and Endoscopy Suite, according to Brad McCaslin, Project Manager for Banner Development and Construction.
The architect on the project is Boulder Associates, and Adolf and Peterson are the Construction Manager – General Contractor. Due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, limited tours of the facility will take place by invitation only.
Banner Health Community Hospital is located at 2000 Campbell Dr., Torrington, 82240.
