SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The Fourth Annual High Plains Mini-Con is returning to Monument Mall in Scottsbluff.

2020 marks the fourth year local creators and hobbyists are working with the Monument Mall to host a mini-Comic-Con this October.

“We are reaching out to other local fans and creators, including folks in the Front Range indie community, to bring the fun of comics and nerd culture to Scottsbluff,” said Mathew Rhys, co-owner of Ideal Comics and the Vice chairman of the High Plains Mini-Con Committee.

The High Plains Mini-Con is a nerd-centric comics-and-pop culture event where local comic creators come to display and sell their books and artists participate in contests on-site. There will be live music, including local Gabe the Brute. The Mini-Con will take place Oct 17.
