SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - With Halloween just around the corner, spooky activities are beginning to pop up all over the panhandle. The Gering Public Library is hosting one too, but with a twist.

The Gering Library is asking residents age 13 and up to participate in a program that involves helping to build a haunted graveyard terrarium. The craft involves creating miniature gravestones from polymer clay and building a terrarium that will support live moss. Since the gravestones have to be baked and painted, the craft should take about three hours to complete.

The program is free and all materials will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. It starts at the Gering Library on October 3 at 1 p.m

To register beforehand, go to Geringlibrary.org.

For further information, you can contact the Gering Public Library at (308) 436-7433 or gpl@geringlibrary.org.
