Scottsbluff ends season in top eleven at Boys State Tennis Tournament

Both Bearcat doubles teams place in the top six out in Lincoln.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KNEP) -

The Scottsbluff boys tennis team wrapped up the 2020 season on a strong note as both doubles teams placed in the Class B State Tennis Tournament.

The senior duo of Lincoln Frank and Porter Robbins finished the season 5th overall at state in #1 Doubles. They would win two consolation round matches on Friday beating Lincoln Christian and Beatrice to wrap up their high school careers.

Meanwhile the #2 Doubles team of Ethan Ramirez and Aaron Schaff took home a 6th overall finish at state. The duo claimed one consolation round win on Friday before falling to Beatrice in the 5th Place Match.

Scottsbluff ends the boys state tennis tournament with an 11th place team finish with 15.25 points. Gering finished 18th with 6 points. Alliance took 18th for the event. The Class B state title went to Mount Michael Benedictine who edged out Omaha Skutt Catholic by a couple points.
