United Way of Western Nebraska celebrating 75 years of service
Donors who donate $75 can receive commemorative bandanna
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The United Way of Western Nebraska is now in it’s 75th year of service in the Scottsbluff area. The local organization contributes to several community-wide events such as Stuff the Bus and the Day of Caring.
The non-profit encourages donors to donate $75 in recognition of the anniversary, and they will receive a huggle bandanna with the United Way logo on it which can be worn several different ways such as a mask, headband or a neck wrap.
Executive Director of the United Way of Western Nebraska Steph Black says,“The anniversary is part of their fall campaign.” Black adds, “This year we are we have set a goal to try and raise $308,000. That money will actually be distributed to sixteen programs that we are funding as well as help us do our community impact work which is dealing with food insecurity, homeless prevention and disaster relief.”
