SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Scotts Bluff County GOP forwards a censure letter to U.S. Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse.

“We were all very very frustrated with his support of when he voted to go ahead with the impeachment in the senate of former President Trump and a possible conviction,” said Kolene Woodward Chairman Scotts Bluff County GOP. “We were really feeling our voice wasn’t being heard so we decided to do an open letter to the editor and censure him through that. It’s basically a public hey we need attention we don’t like what you are doing.”

Scotts Bluff County GOP said 39 of the 40 members approved a measure to send the censure letter. Fifteen other counties have sent censure letters to Sasse. He is one of five Republican senators that want to proceed with the impeachment of Donald Trump.

“We don’t want to do this I mean it’s public it’s messy,” said Woodward. “We have to say hey Senator you’re not listening to us you’re not getting back to us and you’re not representing us. This was really the only way we could do that.”
