Goshen County Public Health hosts vaccine clinic in Torrington, Wyoming
The Mass Immunization Clinic is vaccinating age groups 50 and up
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Goshen County Public Health (GCPH) has been vaccinating hundreds of people a week since January. They host their Mass Immunization Clinic at the Armory in Torrington, WY every Tuesday and Thursday.
“One lady last week she was actually in tears because she said she hasn’t seen her grandchildren in a year,” said Melissa Johnson Nurse GCPH. “She was so grateful for the opportunity to get the vaccine and people are very gracious and very thankful for the opportunity to be able to come.”
“I have a dad he has really bad heart failure,” said Amy Bomgardner Torrington resident. “I figured maybe I could be safe I also work in a public place at a bank where there is a lot of customer interaction and lots of interaction with people.”
“It doesn’t hurt,” said Kevin Nickel Veteran resident. “I mean I sat down there she poked me in the arm. I mean go get it it’s not going to hurt you.”
“We received gift baskets up at Public Health,” said Johnson. “We received thank you notes we even had people come to the clinic give us gift cards to like the Java Jar or to the Bread Doctor. They’re very thankful and gracious we’re very appreciative of our community.”
GPCH said clinic hours are from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. and has vaccinated 3,300 people since January.
