SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - City of Scottsbluff said this is one of the final pieces for the completion of the Pathway Project.

City Manager for Scottsbluff Dustin Rief said the project connects Riverside Zoo all the way up to Western Nebraska Community College. it allows the neighborhoods to connect and the cost of the project is roughly $6 million dollars. The target date for the completion of the bridge is July 18. Rief adds Avenue B will get an overlay of asphalt from Highway 26 all the way to South Beltline Road.

“If I want to jump on my bicycle I live out at WNCC direction I can bring my kids on the bicycle we can ride all the way to the zoo or hit any of the other parks in between that are off the pathway,” said Rief. “It gives us an opportunity to be more active in the community in a safer way.
