Scottsbluff soccer teams come up short in Saturday district finals
Bearcats soccer seasons come to an end at 10-6 on the year.
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The Scottsbluff boys and girls soccer teams strong seasons came to end in district finals Saturday morning.
Scottsbluff boys were on the road taking on Bennington for the District B-5 title. The Bearcats played the fifth best team in Class B to the very end. The two teams would end regulation tied and go into overtime.
In the overtime Bennington flexed their talents as they pick up the 4-1 win over Scottsbluff. Cats season comes to an end at 10-6.
They say good bye to talented seniors Placido Rodriguez, Blake Wilson, Oziel Camargo, Charly Gomez, Riley Little, Lincoln Frank, Octavious Gonzalez, Francisco Morales, Dakota Andrews, Micah Schick, Porter Robbins, Jace Heimerman, and Ken Pham.
The Scottsbluff girls were at home for the district finals taking on Omaha Roncalli Catholic for the B-7 title. Roncalli made their trip to Western Nebraska count as they defeated a spirited Scottsbluff bunch 11-1.
Roncalli took the momentum early taking a 7-1 lead in the first half and into halftime. Roncalli added four more goals in the second half to pick up the 11-1 win.
Lady Bearcats season comes to an end at 10-6. They say good bye to talented seniors Jazzmin McQueen, Isabelle Wright, California Wright, Josephine Brezenski, Emma Foote, Olivia Taylor, Hanna Abrams, and Kaia Larson.
