SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Gering Visitors Bureau said it’s a weekly e-news letter to inform visitors where to see the sights in the Panhandle.
Local businesses find this helpful resource to guide visitors to the right direction in the area. Every Wednesday the e-newsletter is available with different events. The businesses provide a first impression for tourists.

“When a visitor comes into our community their first stop many times is not here at the visitor bureau offices,” said Karla Niedan-Streeks Director of Tourism City of Gering. “Their stopping getting gas or their stopping at an attraction or at their hotel or a restaurant. The first person they visit with is the first person is going to make a difference whether or not they are going to stay in the community.”
Gering Visitors Bureau said the news letter runs until the end of the summer. Special editions of the news letter come out for holidays. When it began 30 businesses posted it and now it’s up to 110 businesses in the Panhandle. First time visitors have an appreciation for the Panhandle
