SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) -Discovery Center staff says a badger, owl, and zebra have become the newest members of the Riverside zoo.

The male Zebra was brought in to help with the Zebra species population and will hopefully have more offspring in 2022. While the other two animals did not have the greatest start. The American badger was found floating in a drainage ditch right outside of town and the owl was hit by a car and suffered rib injuries. Thankfully both animal are better now, but the rehabilitation process has been tedious.
