SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (Press Release) - The City of Alliance partnered up with Northwest Community Action Partnership on a Utility Assistance Program called Neighbors Helping Neighbors one year ago. Over the past year the community donated $2,552 to contribute to other Alliance residents who need assistance in paying their utility bills. This program is growing but is in need of more donors.

The City of Alliance is continuing to offer the opportunity for utility customers to add a one-time or recurring donation to their monthly utility bill. Any dollar helps in making a difference of an Alliance resident. Donations can be tax deductible.

To be eligible for assistance under this program, applicants must:

· Complete NCAP’s assistance application form, including providing proof of income

· Be a current resident and utility customer of City of Alliance, and

· Have a delinquent residential utility bill subject to disconnect.

For more information about how to donate, please contact the Alliance Utility Office at (308) 762-5075.
