Scottsbluff has a new city councilwoman

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) -Scottsbluff adds a new city council member and her name is Selina Lerma as she takes the vacant seat left by Terry Schaub.

Lerma said out of eleven candidates she became the choice. Currently she is a business owner and helps run Rosita’s Mexican Restaurant. Also a graduate from the University of Wyoming with a law degree and a marketing degree from Chadron State. She is excited to take on this new endeavor and education is something she would like to tackle.

“In the future I would like to see that our college maybe become a four year institution,” said Lerma. “I think that would be a great new venture for our community to maybe consider.”

SHE SAYS SHE IS EXCITED TO TAKE ON THIS NEW ENDEAVOR.

EDUCATION IS SOMETHING SHE WOULD LIKE TO TACKLE.
