Gering Planning Commission gives it’s first approval for horse racetrack

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The proposal for horse racetrack gets the nod to move forward.

Gering City Officials said on Tuesday night the Planning Commission voted in favor 6-2. The proposal was made by Scottsbluff Exposition and Racing as residents for and against voiced their opinions At Gering City Hall. It still needs to get approval from the state gaming commission. The proposed site is adjacent to Highway 71 in Gering.
