SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Day one of the Class B Nebraska Girls State Golf Tournament saw golfers battle a very difficult golf course as no one finished under par for the round.

Elkhorn North’s Emily Karmazin leads the pack with a score of 72. Locally three golfers sit in the top ten after one day. Nielli Heinold (Scottsbluff) 80, Emily Krzyzanowski (Gering) 81, and Anna Kelley (Scottsbluff) 82 had solid rounds for the day.

Scottsbluff as a team sits third after one round with a score of 362 while Gering fires a day one score of 442. Elkhorn North leads after one round with a score of 335.

Final round action set for Tuesday at the Scotts Bluff Country Club starting at 8:30 am.
