SPALDING, Neb. (KNEP) - The Potter Dix football team keep making history. Coyotes playing in their first ever state semi-final game picked up a 39-38 win over Spalding Academy to move to their first ever state championship game.

Coyotes took advantage of turnovers and made big plays in the first half to go up 25-0 at one point over Spalding. However the home Shamrocks answered back in the second half and cut the lead to just one point in the fourth quarter.

However a late touchdown and a two point extra point kick sealed the win for Potter Dix.

Luke Kasten lead the Coyotes attack rushing for 130 yards and one touchdown in the win. While both Thomas Muldoon caught two touchdown passes.

Potter Dix will now head to Kearney on November 19 to take on Cody Kilgore for the Class D6 State Championship with kickoff set for 6pm MST.
