SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The Board of Education approves new pay and incentives for substitute teachers. The Scottsbluff Public Schools approved this new program at their November meeting.

This will increase substitute pay to 125 dollars per day for newer subs and for more experienced subs the pay will increase. It originally was 110 dollars a day so this makes the district a lot more competitive with this increase.

There has also been a new incentive for newer substitutes as well.

Melissa Price, the Director of Communications at Scottsbluff Public Schools, says; “So for a new substitute if you successfully complete five days of subbing in our district we will reimburse you up to 320 dollars for the cost of that college course for the human relations course that is required so you can get that sub certificate.”
