Motorcycle accident on Mothers Day in Scottsbluff

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (Press Release) - On Sunday 05/08/2022 at 2:36 PM Scottsbluff Police Department, Scottsbluff Fire Department, and Valley Ambulance were dispatched to the curve on South Beltline Hwy West just south of West Overland to investigate a single vehicle motorcycle accident.

Investigation revealed that James Pierce, age 38 of Scottsbluff, was driving a motorcycle that had been south bound on South Beltline Hwy West (L79H) from West Overland.

The road curves to the east here and the motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve.

The driver laid the motorcycle down on it’s side.

The motorcycle skidded into and under the guard rail wires, one of the wire support posts was broken off.

The driver was transported to Regional West Medical Center by Valley Ambulance.
