The annual Pony Express Re-Ride takes place

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - On June 9th, the annual pony express re-ride occurred.

The event was held at Scotts Bluff National Monument.

The pony express and mail will travel 1,966 miles from St. Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California.

The eight-state event is conducted 24 hours a day until the mail is delivered to its destination.
