Camp Scott campers are welcomed to the Historic Saddle Club
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - On the evening of June 16th Camp Scott boys and girls were welcomed to the Historic Saddle club for a picnic and horse show.
This event has been going on for 38 strong years.
Scottsbluff Kiwanis provided food for campers and parents to start off this event.
Shortly after the picnic the horse show began.
The BIT and SPUR 4H club plans the events and activities, as each camper has a number as well as each rider of the horses so they can cheer them on as they are doing different activities with the horses.
Juanita Baker leader of BIT and SPUR says “It’s so much fun it’s so rewarding to see the children of Camp Scott, a lot of these children never been on a horse before. Shortly after the horse show we invite them to get on the horses and run around the arena. We have a 4H leading the horse and walkers on each side just for the safety of the campers.”
