Local experts set to host pollinator event at Midwest Theater
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - On June 20th starting at 6:45pm multiple events will be taking place at the Midwest Theater and downtown gardens in Scottsbluff.
These events celebrate pollinators and the work they do.
You can learn tips from local experts through a few organizations to better understand pollination.
Starting at 6:45pm bug bingo in the downtown garden will take place, following that at 7:30pm “My garden of a thousand bees” will be shown in the theater.
These events are free and open to the public.
More than 275 library’s from across the country are also planning events about pollinators, that is part of a nationwide #PlantWildFlowers Initiative.
Kristin Wiebe, Nebraska public board member says " There is a nationwide initiative to increase the amount of pollinators plants in the landscape and Nebraska Public Media is partnering with library’s across the state to pass out seed packets and activities to understand the work of pollinators but also to help plant more pollinators in our landscape, so we are promoting a place to exists in our world.”
