Gering police responded to a Domestic Assault call

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Gering police responded to a male calling 911 in reference to a disturbance that had taken place.

During the call you could hear a female yelling in the background.

Upon arrival two parties were contacted in the driveway of a residence.

Those individuals are 35-year-old Martin Limon and 40-year-old Carmen Marquez.

According to Limon they both had gotten into an argument which led to Marquez taking his keys and his vehicle.

When Marquez came back to the residence after taking the vehicle, she refused to give him back his keys.

This led to the another argument.

Court documents stated that Marquez grabbed a flashlight and began swinging it, attempting to hit Limon in the head.

Limon then took the flashlight away from her and pushed her down.

Officers observed bruising on Marquez’s upper left arm from Limon grabbing her.

Marquez told officers that the bruise was caused by Limon when he was refusing to let her leave the bedroom before she grabbed the flashlight in attempt to get him to leave her home.

Limon was arrested for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree.
