Summer block party in Scottsbluff

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - A summer block part is set to take place this weekend.

Sunday July 3rd at the Methodist Church in Scottsbluff a BBQ cookoff is scheduled.

This event starts at 4:00pm and they will be serving the BBQ from 5:00-7:00pm.

This is a free family fun event including games such as water balloon toss, a watermelon eating contest and more.

A free will offering will go to supporting their beautification project for the courtyard.

Pastor Craig Collins from First United Methodist Church says “I would just like to invite everyone, whether you come to our church or not you are welcomed. We would love to have you come, spend the afternoon-evening with us, bring your appetite and there is no charge we will have a free will offer but we are not asking our guest to support that we want our guest to have a good time.”
