55 teams compete on Saturday for annual OTD event.

GERING, Neb. (KNEP) - Oregon Trail Days wrapping up this past weekend. One of the most exciting events taking place on Saturday the annual OTD Mud Volleyball Tournament.

Fifty-five teams fought through the heat and the water to participate in the event. Bracket action started in the morning with a champion crowned by the end of the day.

The overall winner was the team consisting of Alex Stands, Lauren McAllister, Tyler McAllister, Yvette Marquez, Shelbi Cotton, and Kyle Cotton.

The team of Tyler Patrick, Sidney Stobnow, Laura Van Housen, Joey Rasnic, Cody Thompson, and Katie Rasnic finished second on the day.

Rounding out the top three was the team of Korbin Gribble, Riley Schwartzkopf, Alyssa Mendoza, Trey May, Kyan Allen, Lily DeLosSantos, Sarah Arellano, and Jaime Modec. The team also came away with the high school division title as well.

Jacey Cochran, Jaxie John, Cara Scholothauer, Taryn Chrisman, Aubrey Anderson, and Ivy Bruckner were the top finishers in the grade school division.
