Scottsbluff High School graduate receives special honor
Trevor Schwartz earns national recognition for essay about being a student athlete.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Scottsbluff High School graduate Trevor Schwartz recognized this week for an essay-scholarship application he completed during his senior year in high school.
The Nebraska State Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association awarded Schwartz the male state winner and sectional winner for his essay on what it means to be a student athlete and how high school athletics impacted his life.
Schwartz who is set to attend Northern State University for football was a multi-sport athlete for the Bearcats playing football and basketball.
In addition to winning scholarship money his essay will join a select group of students vying for a national scholarship in November.
