SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) -The We Care for Kids event is a statewide event to showcase the importance of early childhood education.

On Wednesday, the Alliance Kiddie Kampus held an event to showcase the importance of childhood development and education.

There was food, a penny carnival, face painting and the Alliance High School drumline for everyone to enjoy.

“This event is so important for the community as it allows parents and children to get together and see our programs that are offered here for early childhood education in Alliance. It allows the daycare and preschools to meet with parents that provide the education for their kids,” comments Early Childhood Coordinator for Alliance Public Schools, Liz Baker.

This event was just one of many the state of Nebraska has hosted for We Care for Kids Week.
