SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Wildcat Hills Nature Center is hosting a bird watching event for all to enjoy.

The “Big Sit” event will feature scenic views as well as bird out in nature.

Wildcat Hills will be offering binoculars for anyone to use, and this event is free and open to the public, but you must have a park entry permit in order to attend.

The “Big Sit” event takes place October 8th starting at 7:00am.

Olivia Darugna Watchable Wildlife Biologist says “Its annual event that takes place in Early October every year, basically it’s the most relaxing birding event you can come to well be hanging out on the deck from 7:00am to 1:00pm just relaxing in our chairs, drinking our coffee having snacks and looking at the birds, counting the birds. We have to do this in a 17-foot diameter circle, so basically you stay in your chairs the whole time, look at birds and enjoying the scenery and nature.”
