SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The Gering High School Student Council gave a check to the Riverside Discovery Center to help expand an exhibit.

On Tuesday, the Gering High School Student Council awarded the Riverside Discovery Center a donation of $1,700 to be used to expand Kits habitat.

“It started out with the student council selling snacks and then community members kept matching the donations which ultimately led us to getting the $1,700,” Matthew Salmon, a Gering High School teacher said.

The funds will be used to make Kits habitat larger.
