Scottsbluff-Gering Area Awarded Class B Girls State Golf Another Four Years

The Class B Girls State Golf Tournament will be in the Scottsbluff-Gering area another four years.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The Class B Girls State Golf Tournament will be in the Scottsbluff-Gering area another four years.

The Nebraska Schools Activities Association making the announcement Wednesday. After a successful past couple years of hosting Class B state girls action at both Scotts Bluff Country Club and Monument Shadows Golf Course the area will host the event again in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.

The Scottsbluff-Gering Golf Committee presented the NSAA with comments, video, and pictures of how successful state golf has been over the past couple years in the area and now the event will stay another four years.

The committee also thanked their list of sponsors B and C Steel, Gering Keno, City of Scottsbluff, Scotts Bluff Area Visitors Bureau, Gering Vistors Bureau, H&R Block, Mainstreet Market, Chiropractic Concepts, Gering Valley Plumbing and Heating, Scottsbluff Booster Club, Gering Booster Club, Kelley Bean, Kelley-Selzer Investments and the Western Nebraska Pioneers.

Grand Island will host the Class A Girls State Golf Tournament and North Platte will host the Class C Girls State Golf Tournament over the next four years.
