SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) -In honor of National Mentorship Month TEAMMATES is helping youth across the panhandle find a mentor.

During this month the group wants to remind people there are options for youth and even for people looking to help the youth. Mary Kay Haun with TEAMMATES says it takes only a matter of minutes to apply and to start helping the community.

“I knew that there was going to be someone there with me and they were someone I knew I could count on,” said mentee Marisol Cabrera.

To apply to become a mentor, applicants must be 18 years or older and fill out an application that has all requirements as well. The application can be found here, or people can contact a local school district to find out more.
