Nebraska State Patrol Troopers are on patrol for Saint Patrick’s Day

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Troopers are on patrol for impaired drivers this Saint Patrick’s Day.

Troopers will be working overtime across the state in honor of the holiday.

Nebraska State Patrol will be performing high visibility patrols from Thursday evening through Saturday morning as part of this operation.

NSP gives some tips to avoid driving impaired:

Plan ahead: don’t wait until after you’ve been drinking or making your safe ride plans.

Know your options: designate a driver, call a cab, or use a rideshare.

If you’re the designated driver, take your job seriously and don’t drink.

Finally, if you see an impaired driver report it to the NSP Helpline *55.
