WNCC’s Erica Fava set to play in historic Husker volleyball match in August

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Western Nebraska Community College sophomore Erica Fava will continue her volleyball career at the University of Nebraska Omaha.

While at WNCC Fava was a two time First Team All American in addition to claiming Region IX South Player of the Year honors.

With all of her accomplishments on the volleyball court the Piacenza, Italy native first match with the Mavericks will be a special one. Nebraska-Omaha will take on Nebraska as part of Volleyball Day at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

Action is set to take place August 30th in Lincoln as part of a double header. Nebraska-Kearney and Wayne State College will open the day with an exhibition match.

Fava more than excited to be a part of such an historical event.
