Scottsbluff boys and girls move into soccer sub district finals
Scottsbluff girls hold off upset minded Gering 3-0 at Landers Complex on Monday.
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The Scottsbluff and Gering soccer teams in postseason play Monday for the Sub District B-8 Tournament.
Bearcats and Bulldogs squaring off against each other to open girls sub district play. In the end Scottsbluff holding off Gering 3-0 to move into the sub-district finals. Kate Larson and Maddie Kovarik scoring goals in the Scottsbluff win. Larson giving Scottsbluff a 1-0 first half lead and Kovarik scoring twice in the second half to seal the hard fought win.
Scottsbluff goal keeper Jessica Schaff would hold Gering off the board in the contest. Lady Bearcats will take on Lexington in the sub district finals Tuesday. Lexington defeating Holdrege in the semi-final round Monday.
The Scottsbluff boys also moving into the sub district finals as they defeat Holdrege 5-1 on Monday. Bearcats will face Lexington in the sub district finals Tuesday. Lexington ending Gering’s season with an 11-1 win on Monday.
