City of Scottsbluff introduces Creative Beet Art District
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The City of Scottsbluff receives a certification from Nebraska Arts Council for the new Creative Beet Art District.
$10,000 will be used within the district for marketing and public art projects with local artists.
On June 15th, during the first Bands on Broadway event the Creative Beet Steering Committee will have a booth out with more information to get involved.
Sharaya Toof City of Scottsbluff: Economic Development Director says, “For those who don’t know the location is Downtown Scottsbluff on Broadway, from about 20th all the way up and it turns at that railroad truck like Michele said, it goes down East Overland, and it stop right there at Sonny’s Bike Shop.”
Michele Denton Executive Director at West Nebraska Arts Center says, “We just got our designation which gives us $10,000 which is like “seed” money. We are going to use that for marketing, we will have a website, have someone that takes care of Facebook and Instagram, because we are all exhausted kind of, we all work full time and try to do this on the side, but we got a great group of supporters so were looking for more help if anyone wants to be involved.”
