Alliance Retired Senior Volunteer Program hosts mobile food drive
ALLIANCE, Neb. (KNEP) - The Alliance Retired Senior Volunteer Program hosted a mobile food drive for Box Butte County residents.
On Wednesday the Alliance Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Northwest Community Action partnered together to help residents of Box Butte County receive food. This food drive featured people able to receive a box of non-perishable items, a box of produce and a loaf of bread.
“It allows the residents of Box Butte to drive through and receive boxes of food. It is not based on income eligibility its actually based on need and any resident in Box Butte County is eligible to receive this food,” Northwest Community Action Partnership Community Service Director Bonnie Beckstrom said.
The Alliance RSVP is fully volunteer and if people would like to help the only requirement is to be above 55 years old. The Alliance Senior Center can be contacted at 308-762-1293 about any questions regarding the food drive.
