Sunny and hot weather moves out; cooler air with t-storms on the way
Updated: 4 hours ago
The sunny, dry and hot weather we’ve been experiencing for most of the last week will come to an end as we progress through the weekend and start next week. We still have some hot air to get through with highs Saturday in the mid-90s west and the upper 90s east. Central NE will have sunshine as we start the weekend, but in the Panhandle we will have a chance of evening t-storms. The possibility of t-storms will finally expand into Central NE on Sunday evening; but it’s after another hot day with highs near 100 (Western NE cools to near 90 to finish the weekend). As of now there is no severe weather risk through the weekend, but we will be watching for if that were to change. Then for Monday we will have partly to mostly cloudy skies regionwide with a good chance of showers/t-storms, some with heavy rain. Highs Monday will be in the upper 80s east and the lower 80s west.
