Sunny and warm this week; Storm chances return by weekend

Updated: 6 hours ago

We are finishing the month of September with lots of sunshine and warmer-than-average conditions. High pressure is in charge at the surface giving us that sunshine, as we keep a south or SE wind that continues our warmup. A ride in the jetstream in the upper levels will keep us dry and warm for the near future as the cold and precipitations stays west of the Rockies. Tuesday we’ll have sunshine and highs in the upper 70s east and the lower 80s west. Expect sunny skies for Wednesday with highs near 80 east and in the mid-80s west. Thursday we keep sunny skies with highs region-wide in the mid-80s.
